Cloud Storage and Sharing
Storing and organizing your data and files on the cloud means you can access your information from any computer with access to the internet; for today's mobile user this is a tremendous advantage from having to be at school or be on a certain computer to gain access to the files you need now. There are many services that are free that allow you to store your files as well as share and collaborate with your favorite people. In the education world this is a fabulous way to perhaps save you time and energy because you don't have to reinvent the wheel, one of your colleagues that you are connected to be it from your school or around the world may already have exactly what you need for that next lesson . There are laws about data privacy and concerns about security, privacy and data in general pertaining to "the cloud" and many school districts have policies in place. If you are an educator you need to know what your district policy is and make sure you are following protocol. If you district does not have clear guidelines in place for online storage, collaboration and social networking it is important to nudge them into having that discussion and developing a policy.
